Carolina Garzzia - Founder

Raised with strong values in a distinguished, loving home in Southern California, Ms. Carolina knew from an early age that providing first rate childcare was destined to be her vocation.

From as young as 10 years old, Garzzia showed enthusiasm and curiosity in caring for children. She began by looking after her 8-month-old cousin, allowing her aunt to return to work and support their family. Even at this early age, Garzzia demonstrated a natural compassion for children and a desire to develop her caregiving skills. Her sensitivity to the needs of infants and toddlers enabled her to care for family and friends, eventually inspiring her to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education, a field in which she holds several degrees.

While pursuing her studies, Garzzia gained valuable experience working in top-tier childcare centers, including CalTech. After getting married and having her own baby girl, she set a goal to make a difference in her community and in the lives of children. This inspired her to open her own daycare, allowing her to continue the career she is passionate about while also caring for her daughter.

Carolina's exceptional ability to connect with children and foster their growth has earned her a reputation for providing the best childcare in the area. Her dedication has resulted in a thriving community of successful alumni who remain in contact well into adulthood. Affectionately calling her 'Mom' or 'Ms. Lina,' these alumni are ardent supporters of Chandler’s Playhouse and Preschool. Ms. Lina has inspired many to pursue careers in early childhood education and frequently come to join our team where they share stories of the profound, positive impact she has had on their lives.

ALUMNI

After three decades of successfully running Chandler’s Playhouse in Arcadia, Ms. Lina embarked on developing her second, personally designed daycare center in 2023. Chandler’s Preschool in Highland Park, CA, is an enchanting realm where creativity, laughter, and learning seamlessly intertwine. Garzzia's innate ability to attune to children's needs allows her to understand behaviors deeply. Such as discerning whether a child's rebellious moment stems from a lack or an overwhelming abundance of attention. She can also assess when a child is ready for advanced learning, sometimes enabling Chandler’s students to surpass Kindergarten and advance directly into 1st Grade. Many of these students have since gone on to attend elite schools. Carolina’s keen awareness of each child's unique environmental upbringing and inherent traits allows her to tailor her care to meet their individual needs. She recognizes that every child is unique and treats each one as a gift, nurturing their natural being with individualized attention and care.
